Why do girls and women need to be educated and motivated?
The answers are not lost on us and on the different issues we see happen everyday. For some women and girls, if they knew that the more confident they are, most times the more they are focused and the more they achieve. A total woman started from a girl child who knew and appreciated her strength and understood her weakness to develop herself, her self esteem, her potentials and much more importantly her life to become who she is meant to be.

With a deep and strong focus on developing the girl child into a confident, esteemed and well inspired to take more than a leap into achieving her goals; Pink Ambition believes that education without its proper application, focused inspiration, and self assesment is like creating a produt without its mechanics.
Inspiration; knowledge based inspiration is every where but oblivious to those who do not seek or searh for it. We strongly believe that the special ingredients amongst others, that will make any woman or girl different lies in our philosophy: “P.I.N.K” (Purpose, Inspiration, Newness and Knowledge).
This four special ingridient is worth aiming for. These ingridients are central to every girl and woman ambition so as to be able to live well, lead, achieve, succeed and become who she is meant to be.

Pink Ambition believes that all female, irrespective of their status, age and educational backgrounds are change agents and in our hands is the power and the opportunities the world needs. To achieve this, we help create inspirations to help girls and women succeed; edu- inspirational programmes to help them believe, seek for knowledge and open viable and positive opportunities for themseles.

We understand that women need life, we need strength and we need passion, but exclusively those are not enough. Life gives strength to passion and committed passion births opportunities through knowledge. And thus every well meaning female should seek to find their purpose, create inspiration for themseles, be creative with new ideas to move forward and never forget that knowledge is profitable in all things.

We do not believe in empowernment without education and continuos inspiration to help create the desired result, and that is why we constantly touch the lives of girls and women in many ways through our numerous edu-motivational programmes that leave no lives untouched and leave no touched lives without result oriented followups.
Pink Ambition is an initiative of take hills educational services (, an organization that is passionate about the plights and even passion of every female all over the world.

up to something!

Physicists and astronomers see their own implications in the world being round, but to me it means that only one-third of the world is asleep at any given time and the other two-thirds is up to something. - Dean Rusk.

Either you sleep, either its death, either its half awake, either its dead slumber, either it is dead knocked out or sleep walk, either its a nap or a little rest down the river side, all are up to something- SLEEP.

What are you UP to today, now, later, then, tomorrow? We must all be up to something?

Never stop being
up to something!

What drives you beyond your lip talks?

If a woman is sufficiently ambitious, determined and gifted - there is practically nothing she can't do." - Helen Lawrenson

P- Purpose; a female's passion, and also entails what she wants to do about it. A woman is identified not only by how she is but by who she is. Your quirks; your personality. Your passion. What oils your weakness and strength, and compel your attention because you cannot just stop being involve in it. What drives you? How do you drive it, why are you driving it and where are you heading to? That is PURPOSE.

I- Inspiration; Can be those soft knowledge she hears and sees; that touches her stance and oils her determination to succeed. Sometimes she feels it can’t be done, but with those nuggets she is inspired to move on. Stories from females all over the worlds who had defied the common reasons and excuses and have transported their businesses into a worthy destination or unto a worthy destination. Not just stories but Facts. That is INSPIRATION.

N- Newness; yes they say there is nothing new under the sun, yet ideas keep ruling the world. It could be the ideas of yester-years yet horned to fit into the present. Innovative, out-of the box ideas, that can grow bigger sizes than the originator. You never grow tired of it. When your idea(S) is people connected, you have no reasons to fail. Women are wonderfully made; good managers both at the home-front (even office front. ***winks***) and every other places that matters. They never fail to churn great ideas to save the day. We call it NEWNESS.

K- Knowledge. Wisdom is profitable in all things; in all thy doings, PLEASE get wisdom! It is very important. We all need knowledge, good strategies to succeed in the stifling business environment. It is the knowledge we exhibit, that will set us apart. We cannot use the knowledge of the fifties to succeed in the nineties. Any female wanting to succeed needs to learn the tools of the business and whatever positive actions it will take to succeed. If it means learning everything all over again it is worth the effort. Success is not a rough cut; it is earned. So we bring hard nuts, facts, figures, opinions, advice, and times premonitions we can all share. No one is an island. If it works for some, it can work for us all. Knowledge is important. No one celebrate a princess without a tiara. That is KNOWLEDGE.

What drives you beyond your lip talks?

I read an article lately about Aliko Dangote (an African billionaire) on a popular site and when I looked at the comment section I was amazed by what some people wrote. One comment stung my gaze and I recoiled in shame for the lady who wrote the comment in ignorance. I couldn’t for the life of me think why in this millennium; some people can still hamper such suicidal thoughts. Either she knew it or not, the article was written as an inspirational evidence, especially for young people to help them think and understand the need to take risk, think big, and think beyond their present circumstances so as to take a leap for the greater future. The article was about how Aliko Dangote started out and built his now great business empire through hardwork.

Her comment read “wow, he is indeed loaded, how I wish I could know him, wouldn’t mind being his mistress.”
I have been told that not everyone dreams. But I beg to differ that in this world and at a time like this with myriad of problems, everyday mishap, misfortune, everyday success, achievement, and great success stories around the world that can inspire even the dullest of all hearts, some people still do not DREAM. (Note my emphasis on dream)

Yes, it’s her wish to be a mistress, but there are some wishes and dreams that can never take someone anywhere. There is gain, opportunities in personal success. You can never know the depth of a rich man’s success more than him and that is why it is needful for everyone to dream positively and make or draw personal plans to achieving it. “Dream” in this context does not mean going to bed snoring and lured away in an unknown land and eventually crowned the princess; but dreams means seeing beyond the present, and having an idea that can generate your heart desires when you conscientiously work at it.

It pays to carve your own trumpet and blow the amount of air your lungs can gather to achieve the great sounds you want to hear or dance to. The fact that one fails while trying to work out a dream is enough success story, because it will be said of you that you tried at building your castle though lost a stone in the process. And you can find the stone, or make another stone. It is possible.
It is my belief that opportunities only open to those who knock at its doors. And opportunity can be defined as a viable means to attain success through a chore that is performed deliberately overtime (my definition). You hold your own success. Your dreams can either transport you or leave you broken.

This piece is not to judge anybody but to correct a mentality that you can tap or wriggle into a success you never worked for. Let’s not be prodigal daughters and learn the right way to success. You have your gifts to translate it into whatever you want to see; your big Idea + persistent hard work + passion + knowledge = opportunities= success.

Seek opportunity not security; it is the opportunity that will bring security and not the other way. Undue and undeserved security has 3 choices: WASTE IT, SPEND IT, AND INVEST IT.

Note that the pivotal rule of success for any dream is the passion to make that dream succeed. Research has shown that 7 out of every wealth undeserved or not worked for is either wasted or spent away. Make an effort to dream (positively) about what you want and where you want to be in the FUTURE or some years to come and conscientiously work towards attaining your goals. It doesn’t hurt to be a mistress of your own great DREAMS; it is rather a misfortune to CRAVE SLAVERY of another man’s dream.

“No man is an island, yet solution is in part a function of our individual discovery”   - PINK AMBITION

We all need a daily check of ourselves to see if in part we are individually doing what it takes to help solve the myriads of problems that have plaque us for so long.
To create this distinction is a need to fully understand what is happening in and around us and what “I” and “WE” can do about it.

It is an “obvious reality” that the more we discover about ourselves the more we can help the teams who have discovered before us to solve the problems.

All hands must be on deck, but individuality is the beginning of the process to correct the absurdity that has become normal to us all. The abnormality; the deficit in our morals, the decadence of our identitiy as women, the restrictions of our rights, the unproductive menance of the generation we have helped to nurture, the violence against our sex, against our rights, against our selves, the injustice of violations of our bodies, our image,  the economic disease that has eaten into our purses due to corruption,  the self inflicted limitations we have placed on ourselves and  transfered to our daughters and the daughters of our daughters and indeed the future generation who has continued to live and is living in the limitations of the individuality we never expressed.

A collection of books starts from one. A battallion of soldier will be counted from the first figure; we can discover our voices as individuals, but we can team up collectively to solve all of what we see as abnormality.

Individuality starts the process, but collectively we solve our problems.  Change can be discussed, can be campaigned but misunderstood if its true meaning is lost on us as individuals. It can be diffiult to discover ourselves, because in this discovery we also identify what we passionately care for.  Our individuality is the part solutions to all these problems; it is therefore comforting to know that in discovering this there is also profits.  You cannot clap with one hand but you need to understand and rightly discover that there is first a problem and there is a need for solution and a team to solve it.

I join women acros the world in this celebration of our individual discovery that we have individual rights no matter how limited; a right to end domestic violence, rape and other issues and also to celebrate that collectively we will break the chain and win.

In the words of inspirational women quotes “God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers“, and that is who we are; You and I.

Weave your thread!!!

Life gives strength to passion; but passion in itself is not enough, with determination, persistency, tolerance and an undiluted decisiveness, passion becomes success and success becomes the story – Pink Ambition.

It is indeed a gift to know colours intimately and use it brilliantly, just like being able to establish one’s passion. It is also genius to be able to combine in unusaul manner colours many people never think possible to create exceptionally vibrant and fabulous designs and clothings.
Creative Fashion is without any doubt a painstakingly profession that one must developed an unequivocal passion for to be able to succeed in it.
While painting the fashion world red is every designers dream, Deola Sagoe has indeed painted the whole of Africa red with her vibrant, lively, colourful, exceptional, and unusual contemporary design to present a unique vision and attitude for the modern woman.
Indeeed to achieve the “painting red” is often by means of having fabulous, successful creation and by carving out a niche in the industry and having successful collection among others.  This is not a day or small feat neither is it by lips service, but by hardwork, by sheer determination by understanding failure, disappointment and alway expecting a breakthrough while not relenting on the hardwork.
This fashion visionary created a unique approah to her craft and has endeared many both internationally and locally with her designs using African fabrics, hand-woven materials and traditional African techniques to present a unique vision and attitude for the modern woman.
So many words to describe the unique abilities of this woman, who had no formal training in this trade, but she has been able to establish herself as Nigeria’s most internationally renowned designers with famous fans such as Oprah Winfrey and Will Smith among others.

Surrounded by myriads of colours, fabrics and a dare to combine beautifully what ordinarily would have been a fashion faux; Deola Sagoe continues to inspire us with her special abilities and the thread of her darling designs continues to teach us great lessons about what passion can become if consistently worked at. It is indeed a great lesson for all of us to know that diffiulty is in the start, strength is in consistency and success is at the end of it all.

Weave the thread of your difficulty rigorously, and perhaps you will stitch your place in the maps. Perhaps you will. Perhaps you will create your own very map.

Salute to Deola Sagoe as she joins our list of the Sexy, Sassy and Successful females who inspire us to be what we can be.
